What Makes The Coaching School For Therapists Different
Dr. Liz Lasky's published work is on the ethical congruence between coaching and social work. She put the social work code of ethics against the ICF's and showed the two are compatible. That paper is cited by other people writing in this area now. This is not a coach who read about ethics. It is the person who did the research.
ICF-accredited training
60 hours of ICF-approved asynchronous training across eight modules, plus up to 30 live coach training hours in the weekly rooms. The International Coaching Federation is the credentialing body for this profession, and this program is accredited by it.
Asynchronous modules, live practice
The modules go at your speed, at 6am or on a dog walk. The live rooms are where the skill actually gets built, because nobody has ever learned to coach by watching a video about coaching. You need both, and most programs only sell you one.
Weekly Coaching Labs
Four rooms a week with Dr. Liz and the faculty. You coach, you get watched, you get feedback on your actual sessions. Two of the four count toward your ICF hours.

The eight modules are based on the ICF core competencies broken into pieces. Each one ends with a quiz that credits the module to your file. You can take them in any order, though there is a recommended path and most people follow it.
01 · Ethics. Say where the line is, in a sentence.
02 · Listens Actively. The version of listening that is not clinical assessment. Harder than it sounds after a decade of doing the other thing.
03 · Coaching Mindset & Presence. Sit in the chair without reaching for the intervention you are trained to reach for.
04 · Cultivating Trust & Safety. Build it fast, with a client who is not a patient and did not come to you broken.
05 · Evoking Client Awareness. The core move. The client sees it themselves instead of you handing it over.
06 · Facilitating Client Growth. What happens between sessions so the work holds.
07 · Designing Actions. Turning insight into actions.
08 · Agreements for the Engagement. What you are contracting for, what you are not, and how to say both before you start.
Earn ICF-Approved Continuing Coach Education Training Hours
The eight modules are 60 hours of ICF-approved asynchronous training.
Monday's Coaching Lab and Thursday's Q&A are ICF-approved live hours. Attend both most weeks and you finish with 30 live hours, which is what the ICF requires for a credential and what no self-paced program on earth can give you.
That is roughly fifteen weeks of two rooms, spread across nine months. Less than twice a month, averaged.

Access to Dr. Liz and Faculty, 4 times a week
Monday · Coaching Lab, 12–1pm ET. Where you actually coach and get watched. Breakouts, peer coaching with faculty support, and sometimes you watch Dr. Liz coach live. The rule of Coaching Lab is: try so hard you make a mistake. Led by Dr. Liz or Rachel McNeil, a graduate of this program. Counts toward ICF hours.
Tuesday · Coworking, 12–1pm ET. One protected hour with your camera off and your list open. Run by Rosina Robinson, also a graduate.
Wednesday · Business Class, 12–1pm ET. Packaging, pricing, and what you are actually selling. Ten-minute hot seats. Co-taught with Alisha Bowker, also a graduate.
Thursday · Live Q&A, 12–1pm ET. Bring a question. Ethics, a client who said something you are still chewing on, anything. Always Dr. Liz.
Plus the Sunday Strategy Session, a weekly email that makes you decide what you are actually doing this week rather than drifting through it.
